Between November 10 and December 23, Berlin offers two events worth marking in the calendar: LGBTQIA Winterdays and Christmas Avenue Berlin. Both take place at Nollendorfplatz.

Pink Christmas in Munich

In the Bavarian state capital, too, the Pink Christmas celebrated. The queer Christmas market will also take place in 2023 on Stephansplatz. Admission is free and the event ensures that every year anew people who belong to the scene and those who are interested in the topic LGBTQIA+ come together.

Already in previous years, many visitors appreciated not only the special flair of the Christmas market, but also the implemented attention to detail.

The Pink Christmas in Frankfurt

Also in Frankfurt the scene celebrates the festival of love with a very special Christmas market. The queer event here goes by the name of "Rosa Weihnacht" and takes place on Friedrich Stoltze Platz.

If you are looking for a Christmas market with a very special flair, this is the place for you. Many areas of the market were dipped in pink and purple colors. Due to the largely central location, the journey is correspondingly uncomplicated.

Basic: What actually is a queer Christmas market?

Even though queer Christmas markets have enjoyed particular popularity for years, especially in the larger cities, many people ask themselves what makes these events so special. Basically, a queer Christmas market is of course an event that does not differ in its essential features from the classic Christmas market. Here, too, it is possible to buy almonds, eat cotton candy and drink mulled wine, among other things.

However, the organizers of many Christmas markets of this kind attach great importance to the fact that the stalls are operated exclusively by members and supporters of the scene. Often, this is also a wonderful opportunity to get together with other people and exchange ideas.

Accordingly, it is self-explanatory why there are also many action alliances on the ground that invite people to do educational work.

Especially at a later hour, small parties often develop at queer Christmas markets, which are supported by DJs in a musical way. If you fancy a somewhat different Christmas market, in which not exclusively the classic colors red and gold play an important role, you should definitely not miss the events in 2023.
