Among other things, because it has now become "absolutely normal" that those who are later to become a shemale, visit appropriate schools at a young age, where they are trained. Here they learn, among other things, to behave and dress like a woman.

How does a man become a shemale?

Acting and dressing like a woman is one thing. But with Shemals, it goes even further. To become a shemale, they receive injections and take special medications. Sex hormones also play an important role in this context.

In this way, the male sexual characteristics recede more and more. Instead, the female sexual characteristics become more prominent. There are even reports that those affected would suddenly become more interested in men than in women. However, there is no classic standard here.

Drugs and Co.: Treatment often takes its toll

Many shemales do not live to a very old age. This is partly due to the numerous medications they take over time to develop a female body. Only a few shemales live beyond the age of 40, and quite a few die much earlier. The psychological component should also not be neglected in this context. Because: Shemales are not well regarded everywhere in Thailand. Many of them have to defend themselves against bullying and exclusion... and of course there is always the danger of infection with STDs - at least if the shemale also offers her services in a sexual way.

Conclusion: A shemale is a person who either actually identifies as a woman or assumes this "role" in order to earn money, for example, in beauty contests or as a prostitute. Behind each person, however, is a very special fate, which is often more serious than the glittering world of the Thailand nightlife would suggest.
