The Hercules Hill in Cologne
The Herculesberg or also called Mont Klamott is one of a total of eleven rubble mountains, which are located in the middle of the Cologne district Neustadt-Nord. It itself has a total height of about 72 meters and is thus the largest of the 11 rubble mountains. It was created during the clean-up work after the Second World War, when the rubble of the bombed houses was piled up here on an area of more than 130 square meters.
Especially today, the Herkulesberg is one of the most famous mountains in Cologne, which also includes one of the most beautiful jogging tracks and offers an incomparable panoramic view of the Cologne skyline. Likewise, the Herkulesberg is also super anchored in the gay scene. Because countless gay and bisexual men meet here in the summer to exchange ideas and have fun with like-minded people under the cover of twilight.
