The Rosenstein Park of Stuttgart
Rosenstein Park is a beautiful park in the heart of Stuttgart. It has a total area of over 100 hectares and is considered one of the largest English landscape parks in the whole of Germany. The park was built in 1824 on the orders of King Wilhelm I and completed in 1840. Among its most famous buildings are Rosenstein Castle, the zoological-botanical garden and the Museum at the Lion's Gate.
The Gay Cruising Area in Rosenstein Park
The Rosenstein Park also has numerous sculptures and monuments, the most famous of which are by far the Lion's Gate and the Rose Garden. Especially in the gay scene, these two areas are particularly popular. Here, in the warm summer months, numerous gay and bisexual men meet to exchange ideas with like-minded people. Mostly people meet here from the beginning of dusk, as soon as the daytime hustle and bustle has subsided.
