Description
The MAN Bridge in Augsburg
The MAN Bridge is one of the most famous bridges in the heart of Augsburg. It runs directly over the Lech River and connects Stadtbachstraße with Hans-Böckler-Straße. It is a mixed construction of prestressed and reinforced concrete and has a total length of 150.81 meters. Moreover, it was opened only on August 7, 1968, replacing the old pedestrian footbridge. Today it is one of the most important arteries of the city and again daily all Augsburg with plenty of congestion.
But that's not all that the MAN Bridge in Augsburg has to offer. It is also one of the most popular gay cruising areas in the entire city. This means that homosexuals meet here almost every day, as well as bi-curious men who are looking for that certain kick. You can meet here under the bridge directly on the Lech and on both sides.
For the rest, is located the Grieslepark just 150 meters up Hans-Böckler-Strasse.
