The Beverbach service area on the A40 motorway
Beverbach rest area is a very large and spacious parking lot located directly on the A40 freeway. It is equipped with a large rest area, which offers numerous options. Here you can, among other things, refuel, buy food and snacks or just visit the toilet or take a break. The special thing about this rest stop is that it was integrated directly into the old winding tower and now represents the entrance. The old winding tower of the disused coal mine Zeche Zollern has remained and is now used as a viewing platform.
Where is gay cruising here?
But all this is not the reason why the service area Beverbach is so popular, because the real reason is that here in the parking lot is one of the most famous gay cruising areas in all of Dortmund. For years, gay men, but also bi curious men, have been meeting here with the onset of dusk to look for a change from everyday life. Mostly you meet here in the parking lot or on the benches that are spread everywhere.
